Peer Recognition

Community is everything—ours and yours. And in the spirit of celebration, we’re introducing Peer Recognition: a spotlight on the coworkers that make work exciting, inspiring, joyful, and even a little bit easier (in the ways only a work friend can). It’s like Employee of the Month, but so much better.

Cassandra Welchlin

Executive Director & Co-Convener of the Mississippi Black Women’s Roundtable

"Cassandra is an absolute force. I had the chance to see her in action, doing voter engagement for the Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable, for which she's the executive director. As we went door-to-door, I was blown away by her ability to connect with people and inspire them to not only register to vote, but to get involved in the work. I'm among those she inspired. I want everyone to know about the work she's doing on the ground in Mississippi. People wrongly assume that Mississippi, and the South in general, is a lost progressive cause. Having seen what Cassandra is doing there on the ground, I know with certainty that people assume wrong."
